NEFTA Awards in controversy: Aryan films demands the full refund of 15 Thousand US dollars

The 11th edition of NEFTA Film Awards, which is scheduled to be held in America on July 6, has been dragged into controversy. Nepal Movie Technicians Association (NEFTA) is the main organizer of the award, which was dragged into controversy after one of the local organizers of the US withdrew its hand.

Aryan Films Productions, one of the organizers, in a statement released a week ago, stated that they had withdrawn their hands from the award ceremony after objecting to the 'name of some unauthorized people being added' in the visa process.

In a statement issued by the organization's general manager and marketing head, Gopal Katuwal, it is mentioned that among the 41 people who applied for the visa process, some unauthorized people also applied, so they withdrew from the award organizers. This company belongs to filmmaker and director Ramesh MK Paudel.

In the statement, it is mentioned that they have given 15 thousand US dollars to NEFTA for US-Nepal round trip, program at Solti Hotel and other things. In the statement, demanding full refund of  15,000 US dollars, Bimal Panchi who is the organizer or US Khabar has been requested to contact for detailed information.

When Mero Film contacted Pushkar Lama, the president of the Nepal Film Technical Association, he claimed that the person called the local organizer in America was not an institution, but an individual. It is my understanding that that is nothing, they are the opinion of individuals, not the opinion of this organization. We will announce our views on this matter tomorrow", said President Lama.

There is discussion in the film that NEFTA is preparing to take only 29 people out of 41 people after the organizers withdrew their hands. In which a journalist has been prepared to be taken under the pressure of President Pushkar Lama.

The artists who said they will go to America are confused about the visa process

Meanwhile, NEFTA is releasing a video with several actors taking feedback on the award. In which, some artists are saying that they will also come to America to participate in the awards. However, the visa process of most of the artists speaking in the video is in confusion. One of the actors said to my film, "Let's talk about going to America, the date for the interview has not even come." Therefore, now it seems that going to America for the award will be the same.

To participate in the awards, NEFTA is trying to get artists who have visas. According to the source, NEFTA is asking some artists who have US visas to participate in the US awards. However, now that the award itself has come into controversy, the possibility of those artists going to America has become nil.
