Why 'Mahapurush' did not participated for NEFTA Award ?

The Nepal Film Technician Association is announcing the nominations for the 11th NEFTA Award at 1 pm today. There is also excitement in the film industry about the program to be held in the presence of the Vice President because of the prestige of this award in the Nepali film industry.

However, the team of last year's most popular movie 'Mahapurusha' which collected more than 10 crores isn't nominated for this award.

2 days ago at the 'Cine Circle Awards' held in Kathmandu, 'Mahapurush' won the best film, best director, and best actor awards. However, what might be the reason for 'Mahapurush' to not participate in a prestigious award like the NEFTA Award?

We asked Pradeep Bhattarai, the director of this film, about this subject matter. Pradeep said - "The main thing is that it is very wrong to ask for 7,000 rupees to fill out a nomination form for a prestigious award like NEFTA. It is not that we cannot afford to fill out the form but the trend of collecting money like this is wrong. Therefore, we have decided not to participate."

Pradeep said that he decided not to participate because he saw the need to oppose such a trend. "What will happen if you start paying such a huge amount of money to participate in more than a dozen awards held every year?" he asked.

The organizers have said that they will leave no stone unturned to make the award program grand and elegant to be held in America in July.
