'Jaari' dominated all the other films released in Baisakh

'Jaari' dominated all the other films released in Baisakh

In the month of Baisakh, eight films were released before 'Halkara' which is going to be the last film released this month, among them only one film was appreciated by the audience.
The beginning of this year was a blockbuster for Nepali films. The film 'Jaari' directed by Upendra Subba did blockbuster business at the box office. The film is still running in theaters and is getting good support from the audience.
However, after 'Jaari' did more than 16 crores gross collection at the box office, the films released after that did not even collect 1 crore.
'Bihe Paas and Bulaki', which was released in theaters along with 'Jaari', seemed to be weak at the box office. 'Bihe Pass' did good business on the first day, but it failed on the 2nd Baisakh. 'Bulaki' could not get a fast-paced show. The producer removed the film from the theater saying that it did not get a good show, within 4 days of its release.
After Bollywood actor Salman Khan's film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ka Jaan' was released on the 8th of Baisakh, no Nepali producer dared to release the film. But 3 films 'Nai Nabhannu La 6, Prasad 2, and Kaidi Ko Patra' were released on the 15th of Baisakh. Although the business of 'Prasad 2' was satisfactory compared to the other two films. The total collection of the film is not even a crore yet. "Nai Nabhannu La 6" couldn't even survive in the first week.
The audience did not know about the film 'Kaidi ko Patra' being in the hall. This way, the business of the three films took the film industry by surprise.
Another awaited film 'Jackie: I am 21' was released on the 21st of Baisakh. The director of the film Renasha Rai Rana has accepted the fact that the film has not earned well even after a week of release. The team of the film seems optimistic that the film can do good business in the coming days.
While 'Jaari' did a bumper business, 'Bihe Pass, Bulaaki, Kaidi Ko Patra, Nai Nabhannu La 6, Prasad 2, and Jackie: I am 21' failed at the box office. Now, it remains to be seen how the business of the film 'Halkara', releasing on the 29th, will be.
However, this month has given a lesson to the filmmakers that they shouldn't release all films at once.
