According to the news, this film is influenced by Amitabh Bachchan's film 'Akhiri Rasta'. The film was also an official remake of Kamal Hassan's Tamil film Oru Kaidhiyin Diary.

Amitabh and Kamal played the dual roles of father and son in the films 'Akhiri Rasta and Oru Kaidhiyin Diary'. Similarly, Shah Rukh will be seen doing the role of father and son in 'Jawan'. Like 'Akhiri Rasta', 'Jawan' will also tell a story of revenge", said a production source.

'Jawan' director Atlee is a big fan of Kamal Haasan's films. That is why he has taken the main part of Kamal's story in his film.
