Friday Release: Four films competing together

Four films, ' Kaidi Ko Patra, Nai Nabhannu la 6, Prasad 2, and Pasang: In the Shadow of Everest' have been released today.

Branded two films 'Kaidi Ko Patra and Nai Nabhannu La 6' got enough shows in all halls whereas, the film 'Kaidi Ko Patra' got shows in limited halls. The main hall QFX hasn't given any shows to 'Kaidi Ko Patra'.

Film 'Prasad 2' did well in the premiere. The film stars Bipin Karki, Keki Adhikari, and Arpan Thapa in lead roles. This is the sequel of the film 'Prasad' which was praised by critics during its release.

Similarly, the film 'Nai Nabhannu La 6' has the story of Bikashraj Acharya, Samipyaraj Timalsina, and Arundev Joshi and stars Aanchal Sharma, Aashirbaad B. Chhetri in pivotal roles. Every part of 'Nai Nabhannu La' is openly praised.

The film 'Kaidi Ko Patra' is directed by Sanam Kumar Bairag starring Kunal Biswa and British actress Madison Lazarus, Salina Thapa Magar, Prithviraj Khatri, Suvarna Thapa, Manish Shrestha, Sushmita Thapa, Carrie Dodds, Westbury, Tapasya Sivakoti among others. This film shows turbulence in a life of a man who fails to carry his happiness.

'Pasang' is a documentary about how Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman to climb Mount Everest, climbed the highest peak in her fourth attempt.

Advance ticket sales for these four films were opened two days ago. But the expected booking of all four films has not been seen. However, multiplexes have given high shows to Prasad 2.

QFX has given 34 shows to 'Prasad 2' whereas 18 shows have been given to 'Nai Nabhannu La 6' and 'Pasang' got 5 shows.

One Cinemas has given 8 shows, 5 shows, 2 shows, and 2 shows while Big Movies has given 4 shows, 2 shows, and 1 show respectively to 'Prasad 2, Nai Na Bhannu La 6, and Pasang'. 'Kaidi Patra' has not been given any shows.

BSR Movies has given 4 shows, 2 shows, 1 show, and 1 show respectively to 'Prasad 2, Nai Nabhannu la 6, Kaidi Ko Patra, and Pasang'. F-cube in Chabahil has provided 4 shows for the movie 'Prasad 2', 2 shows for 'Nai Nabhannu La 6' and 1 show each for 'Kaidi Ko Patra and Pasang'.

In this way, 'Prasad 2' has got 60 percent, and 'Nai Nabhannu La 6' has got 40 percent of shows in the halls across the country.

Even in the third week, the exhibitor's faith in 'Jaari' has not decreased. The film 'Jari', which is being screened in the third week of Baisakh, has got the highest number of 35 shows.
