'The Silent Echo' announced to be Best Film at India's Critics' Choice Awards

'The Silent Echo' has been announced as the best film at the Critics' Choice Awards.

Ramakrishna Pokharel's new short film 'The Silent Echo', the producer of 'Aina Jhyal Ko Putali' and 'Halkara', has won two important categories at the Critics' Choice Awards 2023 given by India's prestigious Film Critics Guild Awards.

'The Silent Echo', a joint production of Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and France, has managed to win the award for best film and best cinematography. This 15-minute-long film tells the story of four music-loving children. The film shows their efforts to participate in a singing competition.

Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao presented the said award to producer Pokharel and cinematographer Zohar Musabhir.

Directed by Suman Sen, this film tried to compete for Oscar short film. However, the film failed to get nominated. The film prepared in the Nepali language was shot in Mustang.
