The shooting of the series 'Bramhand' started from Pokhara
Kantipur Film Academy, Kathmandu, and Topi Studios Pokhara are making the Nepali series 'Brahmanda'. The shooting started at Gupteshwar Mahadev in Pokhara.
Kantipur Film Academy, a film teaching school, is producing the largest series compared to the series produced in Nepal. This series, which is going to be made by meeting the international standards for the OTT platform, will feature famous Nepali actors.
Directed by Riyaz Natakkar and executively produced by Sagar Raj Acharya, the full length of the series will be 8 hours and it will be produced in 8 episodes.
The series will feature Sunil Thapa, Bholaraj Sapkota, Rajan Khatiwada, Sarita Giri, Maotse Gurung, and Suraj Beast along with Kantipur Film Academy actors Supragya Sharma and Sanjay Dhungana. Supragya and Sanjay are debuting in the series.
Probably, looking at this lineup of artists, it is sure to become the heavyweight series of Nepali production so far. If this initiative started by Kantipur Film Academy becomes successful, it will definitely be an opportunity to create a new market and audience for Nepali films and filmmakers.
The series will be shot by Purushottam Pradhan, who has shot more than 60 commercially successful and award-winning films including 'Loot', 'Kabaddi', 'Chakka Panja', 'Dasdhunga', 'Uma', 'Nai Nabhannu La'. Purushottam prefers to work in films with new stories, new directors, and new presentations.
Prakash Puri, CEO of the Academy and creative producer of the series, revealed that actor Arpan Thapa is going to make his OTT debut with this series.
It has been agreed that all the series will be shown in the Nepali language along with Kantipur Film Academy's own platform and also in the Hindi language from a big OTT platform in India.
The Academy produced a series named 'Miss Scarlett' in Birganj some time ago. The post-production of 'Miss Scarlett' which is said to be a psycho thriller is currently going on.
