Film 'Jaari' ahead of release gave enough profit
The film 'Jaari', which is scheduled to be released from April 15, is also going to be released in the international market. According to production company Bansuri Films, the film has been confirmed to be released in America, Australia, Europe, Middle East and East Asian countries.
Producer Ram Babu Gurung said that the high demand for Nepali films from abroad before the domestic release is an important achievement for internationalization. According to him, the film will be released in the first week of April in the US, UK, Australia, Japan and all countries of Europe. It will be released in the second week of April in Canada, the Middle East and Hong Kong in the third week of April.
Director Upendra Subba along with actors Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral and Miruna Magar are scheduled to attend the premiere in London on April 22. According to producer Gurung, the movie has collected more than Rs 15 million net for the sale of international rights. Before the release of 'Jaari', the film has been made to make the producer profitable.
The film is based on the ongoing practices in the Limbu community living in eastern Nepal and its social dimension.
According to the production team, the positive response received from the trailer of the film released last week has benefited the film's foreign business.
The film stars Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Roydeep Shrestha, Rekha Limbu, Prem Subba, Bijay Baral, Anil Subba, Pushkar Gurung, KamalMani Nepal, Upsangba Nembang, Sita Kumari Tumbapo and Panthak Thule.
The film is written and directed by Upendra Subba. The film has music by Jhuma Limbu and Ganga Thapa, cinematography by Shailendra D Karki and editing by Nimesh Shrestha.
Presented by Bansuri Films and produced in collaboration with Kabaddi Films, the film is produced by successful director Ram Babu Gurung. The film is co-produced by Srijana Ningleku, Manorath Pokharel, Albin Limbu, Peter Gurung, Devyani Rai and Kshitij Limbu.
