Raj Kumar Rai's fierce politics in the election of film organizations

Mohan Niraula has won the election of Nepal Film Artistes Association. Mohan was accompanied by former Film Development Board Chairman and producer Rajkumar Rai. Raj Kumar Rai supported Sarita Lamichhane in the election that held three years ago, while another producer Rose Rana supported Rabindra Khadka. At that time, there was talk of the election of the Artists Association of Rajkumar vs. Rose.

The directors have accused Raj Kumar Rai of playing big politics in the election of Nepal Film Directors Society held on Saturday. Suchitra Shrestha, who withdrew her candidacy for the post of president of the Film Directors' Society, accused Rajkumar of doing politics in a twisted manner. In an informal conversation, she also said that Rajkumar made her tremble with those who asked for votes.

Janakdeep Parajuli was elected unopposed to the post of chairman in the election held on Saturday. Some directors have also alleged that Rajkumar did not allow some directors to rise to the positions announced by them in order to make Janakdeep comfortable.

They had expressed extreme displeasure in my conversation with my film as to why Raj Kumar Rai becomes a guest in every organization and does extreme politics. They were asked who would benefit if the director society was run by other people.

Why is Raj Kumar Rai, who has been the chairman of the Film Development Board and also held the post of president of the Producers' Association, so much interested in the elections of every organization? Why is he actively involved in winning and losing games? Why does he distribute chits in the name of candidates he supports? We questioned Raj Kumar Rai in this regard. I'm a filmmaker. I am a constantly involved in the film industry. So, some bad things also come up. Let's analyze where I have intervened. It is my fundamental right to support someone in this democratic system.

By saying this, I have not been abusing the candidate who is against him. Is this not my right to say that a person or his group should come?  I was called for 20 times during the election and I am given all the respect during this time. As a filmmaker, they come to seek advice from me, don't I need to give them any suggestions?
