Producer of 'Adipurush' requests not stop the screening and apologizes to Mayor Balen and Film Development Board

The producer of the film 'Adipurush', writes a  letter to the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Balen Shah and the Film Development Board, stating that  they had no intention to hurt the sentiments of Nepalese in the film. In the letter written by the producer of the film, Radhika Das, it is said - "If we have offended the sentiments of the people of Nepal, we would like to apologize." However, our intention  was never to hurt anyone's feelings.

It is also mentioned in the letter that the dialogue included in the film does not convey  'Janaki was born in India'. The letter says that the dialogue spoken by Prabhash within the film (Aaj mere lie mat ladna, Ush din ke liey ladna jab Bharatki kisi veti par haat dalne se pahele durachari tumhara porush yad karke thar uthega) does not mention the birth place of Sita Mata.

In the letter, it is mentioned that being an Indian citizen he respects women from all over the world.

In a letter written by producer Das, he pledge people to watch the film artistically and support their efforts to show a history to the citizens of the world.

The announcement to stop the release of the film will not be postponed: Balen's Secretariat

However, Mayor Balen Shah said that the announcement to stop the release of the Hindi film will not be postponed just because of the letter sent by the producer. Balen's secretariat said to mero film - 'The issue we raised was not addressed in that letter. The same dialogue of the film has shocked the world over the country's history and prosperity. This letter is just a formality. The mayor has also said that the announcement to stop the release of the film will not be postponed.

Mayor Balen Shah has announced that starting tomorrow, no Indian film will be released in any hall within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City until the dialogues of the film 'Adi Purush' are finished. According to that, the city police has already reached all the theaters in Kathmandu and asked them not to play the film from tomorrow.
