Nepal International Film Festival (NIF) is starting from today in Kathmandu.

The sixth edition of Nepal International Film Festival (NIF) is starting from today in Kathmandu. The Organising committee has informed that ninety-five movies from thirty -five countries will be participating in the festival.

With the slogan ‘Celebration of Stories from all over the world’, the festival will last to 6th of chaitra,said president KP Pathak.

‘Under the chain of QFX,we are showing the festival movies in four halls’.A program related to interaction and discussion shall be held in the auditorium of the Tourism Board.President Pathak further explains, “Prioritizing the special programs,experts from the film sector and related genres are interacting.”National and international long and short documentary and animated movies are competing.

President Pathak also informed, master class by Professor Li Ran of Chinese Film Academy on “Commentary,understanding of Chinese films and the biggest film market in the world” and the Indian Director Premendra Mazumdar on domestic films will be given.

Similarly,there will be an interaction and discussion on,the role of movie in geo-politics,the evolution of Nepali audience,policy of movies and the master class of Professor Itami Borjan. Nonetheless, the discussion and the interaction will be on the behavior, film casting: importance and practice,Nepali movies being inspired by comedy and mother actress : responsibility and the career.
